1-2-3 Abort!

It's been a long time (almost 2 years) since I have offended someone on this topic. Yes. One of the biggest taboos ever - abortion. I don't agree with abortion as a birth control method, but I do feel like it's a woman's right to decide the fetus' future.

There are few categories of people: those that oppose abortion because of their religious believes:

Those are the most hypocritical people on Earth. They claim that all life's sacred. Let's look at it from several points of view:

  1. i) Life is in blood - as Jesus said. So technically, the fetus is not alive for a few weeks, thus it's 'safe' to abort in the first month or so.
  2. ii) When all life is sacred then why have you killed that mosquito? That cockroach? What about all those bacteria? Those are all life forms. Are you then thinking mankind is superior to other life forms? Didn't you just say *all* life is sacred? Or did you just mean *all human* life is sacred? Let's kill all those poor animals then, shall we? What about your hamburger? Wasn't that cow's life sacred to Your God, too?
  3. iii) How about any birth control? Or did you miss the beginning of the How-to-conceive-a-child movie at high school? So should we ban that too?
  4. iv) All life is sacred to God. Say that to a raped Christian - tell her that God is all-forgiving and will forgive that bastard. Tell her that his life is sacred to God, too. Tell all the people who survived Nazi concentration camps that Hitler's life is sacred to God.

Then there are people who just want to live "naturally" - all those vegetarians, all those vegans, etc. Well, live as you want - but remember we don't force you to eat meat, so don't force other people to have babies they wouldn't want.

My final pro-abortion argument would be medical - look at anything illegal. Look at prohibition. When abortion is banned, there would be illegal abortions, home abortions, etc. Those are extremely dangerous as those procedures can make the woman sterile if not done right. And, man, God would not want that, would he?
